Water
Water Cycle
The water cycle is the process water goes through to be
purified and distributed through rain.
The 3 stages are Evaporation, Condensation and Precipitation. These steps are constantly happening in a reoccurring
cycle. It is vital to life on Earth by
cleaning water that is usable. You can

Erosion and Weathering
Before erosion
|
Erosion and weathering are both different but usually occur
with the other. Weathering usually takes
place first before erosion. Weathering
is the breaking down of rocks or soil usually from wind or water. They become weakened by this and it leads to
erosion. Erosion is when soil or rocks
are moved either by wind or water to another place. Weathering weakens the substance and then
erosion is when those weakened rocks or soil are moved to another place. They can take a very long time to happen and
are not noticeable right away. Arches
are an example of weathering and erosion by being hollowed out.

Importance and facts about Water
Water covers a great deal of the planet. About 70% of the Earth’s surface is covered in water. This may seem like a lot of water and we could never run out but think again. Of all the water on the Earth 97% of it is salt and about 3% is fresh water that we can drink. But of that 3%, 2% is unusable or inaccessible in places such as glaciers. That leaves only 1% of all the Earth’s water to all life that needs it. This includes animals, plants, and humans. All of these things rely on water and may not be able to have it.
